New CommuteThat’s the only word to describe the last two weeks. I’ve been in survival mode just trying to get through the day. I started the new day job, but don’t get me wrong: The new job is great and I am enjoying it a lot. It’s been a ton of work though, coming up to speed on all the new company’s systems, processes, and people. I’ve been spending 10-12 hours a day in the office, and my commutes have been filled with reading company literature on various topics. Add to that that I was sick for the majority of the weekend as well as the most of this week, and I’ve gotten nothing done on my side project.
Next week will be a little crazy too – I’ll be going to San Francisco traveling for the company to a conference, Dreamforce. It will be interesting and informative, but will also be long days with little in the way of free time. I expect that things will begin to settle down some after that, and I will be able to get back to contributing to the fitness company on a daily basis.
