Progress

The last 10 days have been all about productivity and progressing the focus on showing people how to leverage technology to be more productive in whatever industry it is they are working in.  I’ve produced a second video that is now out on how to use cloud storage services like Dropbox to be more productive.  Like the first one, I have a long way to go to up the quality of the videos, but it’s another one that’s out and creating value for those that watch it.

I’ve been working on refining how all of this fits together, what to focus on in the short term, and what to focus on for the long term.  I would say that the long term hasn’t really changed much.  Targeting both the travel and fitness industries and building technology that helps people in those arenas build their businesses is still something not being done well today and something that would be very valuable to people in those industries.  I want to get there.  I will get there.  In the short term, I will build a brand around technology in general, starting with smaller pieces that I can achieve with current resources and time.

With the holidays coming up, and a bit of a reprieve from the corporate job, I plan to pour many extra hours into building content.  This content will be focused on my list of now 40 topics that I had mentioned in my last post – videos explaining how to use technology to be more efficient.  I’ve got two new video scripts already written, and plan to produce those between now and Christmas.

I also need to do a bit of “catch up” related to this blog.  While I’ve continued to write and post the writing, I’ve slacked in terms of having a pic with each of the posts I have put up (so much easier for me to write and post than to find a good, relevant picture) so I need to go back and do that with some of the historic posts and get disciplined about doing that in future posts.
